Mumford & Sons went unplugged for Tour Before the Tour
Mumford & Sons at Élysée Montmartre, Paris lensed by Anna Muradás.
Last night, we were lucky enough to witness the return of Mumford & Sons for an intimate, unforgettable performance that proved why they’re one of the most beloved folk-rock bands of our generation.
The night started in the most unexpected way: Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, and Ted Dwane stepped onto a dimly lit stage and launched into a completely unplugged, mic-free version of Reminder. Just raw vocals and acoustics. It set the perfect tone for the night, making the whole thing feel less like a concert and more like a gathering of old friends.
From there, they took us on a journey through their past and future, mixing their classics with brand-new, unreleased tracks. The energy built gradually with unplugged versions of Ditmas and Timshel, giving the crowd a rare chance to experience those songs in their purest form, before going into a full-band performance of Rushmere.
And, of course, no Mumford & Sons show is complete without the big hits. The moment the first chords of Little Lion Man hit, the crowd went crazy (and yes, I was screaming every word along with them). The Cave was just as loud, proving how much we’d all missed seeing them live.
When I say this concert brought us all together I really mean it: during Babel we witnessed a marriage proposal that got everyone in awe.
But the real highlight? The exclusive preview of new songs from their upcoming album, Rushmere, dropping March 28th. Paris fans got the first taste of Where It Belongs and Caroline, and judging by the crowd’s reaction, this album is going to be huge.
They finished up the night with I Will Wait, and if you thought the crowd was loud before, this was next level. You could feel the entire venue shaking as people jumped along to the chorus.
If you missed this magical night, don’t worry, this was just the teaser. The full tour will be announced soon, with bigger venues and more dates around the world. So trust me, when tickets drop, buy them. You won’t want to miss this.
